Fleet Expansion
We are pleased to announce that IceChem Tankers are adding two new 19,700 mt Dwt stainless steel chemical tankers to our fleet. The “MH Future” is built in 2024 and the “MH Shogun” will be delivered to IceChem as a newbuilding early in 2025. The ships are secured on multiple year timecharters and we are looking forward to taking commercial control of the ships shortly. The ships are highly efficient with one of the market’s lowest carbon emission footprints and will be a great addition to the flexible and high quality service provided to our valued customers.
IceChem Tankers Team expansion.
Following up on our announcement 1 st June 2023, we are pleased to advise the conclusion of the transaction for Ektank AB to become Partner and Shareholder in IceChem Tankers Ltd.
We are furthermore very pleased to advise that the IceChem Tankers Team has been expanded.
In our U.S. office Gordon Kempler has joined as Commercial Coordinator with the main responsibilities of ensuring a smooth and efficient operation and coordination with our customers in the American time zone as well as commercially backing up Claude Major on the chartering side.

New Partner
It is our great pleasure to announce that Ektank AB and IceChem Tankers Ltd have signed a Letter of Intent providing for Ektank AB to become a Partner and Shareholder in IceChem Tankers Ltd. after completion of a regulatory and documentational process that is ongoing and expected to be completed within few months.
The combination of the Ektank fleet and the IceChem Tankers fleet is not only a perfect match in terms of the quality, size and features of the vessels, it is also a perfect match of philosophies and strategies in terms of how to provide the market with the highest quality of service and safest transportation of your oil and chemical cargoes in the future.
As a new partner in IceChem Tankers, Ektank bring +50 years of outstanding performance, market expertise and excellent customer relationships in particularly the Northwest European and Balticmarket segments, which perfectly complements IceChem Tankers’ market leading presence in the Transatlantic oil and chemical trade, especially in and out of the Great Lakes, as well as its European CPP trade.
We are very pleased to welcome to the IceChem Team Mr. Jonas Gustafsson, who will transfer from Ektank’s chartering department and take up the role as Senior Chartering Manager with IceChem Tankers in Copenhagen with immediate effect. Jonas’ great experience and winning personality will ensure continuity of the service and relationships that Ektank’s highly valued customers have come to expect and will continue to enjoy under the IceChem Tankers umbrella.
It goes without saying that all contractual obligations entered into on Ektank vessels will be fully honored for the duration of those commitments, after which the vessels will enter the IceChem Pool trade. The first vessel – m.t. EKEN - will join with immediate effect and when all Ektank vessels have joined, the new combined fleet of IceChem Tankers will be:

Operations moving to Copenhagen office
Opening IceChem Tankers for business end 2018 with the privilege that Robert Kurtz could immediately take on daily operations out of our principal TB Marines office in Hamburg enabled us to ensure the smooth transition and "business as usual" service that all our customers have experienced and appreciated. Now the time has come where Robert wish to complete his University studies and Petra at the same time would like the time to focus on some optimization projects for IceChem Tankers and thus it is a perfect time to move our daily operations to Copenhagen and reap the benefits of having operations and chartering physically in one office.
Thus it is our great pleasure to announce that Kate Chaston has joined IceChem Tankers as Head of Operations, based in the Copenhagen office. Kate brings 25 years of operational experience to IceChem Tankers and we are both delighted and excited that she has chosen to join the IceChem Team with her wealth of knowledge. Kate will be joined by one further Operator on June 1st and Kate, Petra and Robert will ensure that there is a smooth transfer of daily operational tasks from Hamburg to Copenhagen during the coming months. Kevin Ketelsen in the Stamford office continues his tasks on operational support unchanged.

Houston pop up office 12-15 November 2019
IceChem Tankers’ Stamford office will move to Houston in the week of 12-15 November where we look forward to welcoming customers, brokers and all industry contacts for a coffee and a chat.
You will find the IceChem Tankers office in the Regus office complex at 2100 W Loop S, Suite 900, Houston every day from 9am to 5pm.
Thursday 14th November we also welcome you to join us from 5 pm for after-office happy hour drinks and snacks at The Tasting Room, 1101-18 Uptown Park Blvd.

Today M.t. Harbour Fountain was delivered to IceChem Tankers, completing the delivery of the 10 highest Ice Class chemical tankers from TB Marine Shipmanagement to IceChem Tankers’ commercial pool management.

The 10-ship fleet will be delivered ex Nordic Tankers to IceChem Tankers during December 2018 and thus IceChem Tankers will in November commence fixing of spot cargoes for December open positions and fixing of Contracts of Affreightment commencing January 1st 2019 and later, may commence NOW!
IceChem Tankers wish to continue servicing well known customers and markets, primarily in the Atlantic basin including the Great Lakes, the Baltic and Arctic waters as well as cross-European and inter-American trades.
Consequently we are very pleased to inform you that chartering activities will be headed in Europe and in the Americas respectively, by two gentlemen combining for more than 50 years of experience in this trade, namely:
